Marti Dalton has a compositional approach to interior design. At an early age, she developed an appreciation for 19th century Realism artwork and the use of bracketing and depth of field. This technique continues to inspire her today.
During her education at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, the surroundings of classical architecture became the inspiration to pursue her interests in design. To further her interests, she earned a degree in interior design and gained NCIDQ certification (#37381).
As a marketing director in a corporate career, she utilized her strengths in design and photography throughout brand building and creative development.
Her style is transitional. She combines modern and traditional elements to form a contemporary and cohesive design. She follows the light and lines of an interior and accentuates both. She uses the observation of less is more by selecting rare pieces that bring texture and story to an interior.
Her goal is to create a space that is an escape from the outside world as well as personally fulfilling.
